Relatable and easy to read, this book offers a peek into life in the White House.
Michelle shared many personal experiences including fertility battles and her balance between fulfilling what she was capable of (being a lawyer) and doing what she cared passionately about (public service).
While she made it clear that running for public office was not something she was open to considering, I couldn’t help but finish this and think that the world would be better off if she did.
Quote from the book:
“When you’ve worked hard, and done well, and walked through that doorway of opportunity, you do not slam it shut behind you. You reach back and you give other folks the same chances that helped you succeed.”
